Farmborough Road Public School is the local government school located on a huge treelined allotment. The school enjoys the advantages of superb facilities including a hall, and second to none library facilities. It is also home to the Families at Farmborough Community Centre catering for children of preschool age. This is a great community school.
Illawarra Sports High is the local Government High School.

Although these are the local government schools, there are other Church Based Schools such as Cedars and St Pius for Primary. High school students have a greater choice, St Mary's Star of the Sea, Edmund Rice, Holy Spirit or Corpus Christi.
