- Lipoxygenase inhibitor
A Lipoxygenase inhibitor is a drug which slows down or stops the action of the
lipoxygenaseenzyme. More precisely, the term is almost always used to describe an inhibitor of the arachidonate 5-lipoxygenaseenzyme, which transforms EFAs into leukotrienes.
