Currently, he is a drummer with the Toronto-based band Sloan. He also playsguitar with the band, usually on songs he has written. Three of his songs, "500 Up", "People of the Sky", and "I've Gotta Try" have been released by Sloan as singles. He is married toFiona Highet and is a father of two.Once the holder of several provincial track and field records, he abandoned his athletic aspirations to become a visual artist. After attending the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design (NSCAD), he joined Chris Murphy, Jay Ferguson, and
Patrick Pentland in Sloan.He is one of "Chart Magazine"'s 20 Sexiest Canadian Musicians.
