Ahmed Kasoum ( _ar. أحمد قاصوم, _he. אחמד קאסום, born January 25, 1985) is an Israeli Arab footballer who currently plays for Hapoel Petach tikva. After playing three professional seasons with Bnei Sakhnin, the club was relegated to the Liga Leumit (2nd tier). Instead of remaining with the club, Kasoum was bought by Hapoel Petah Tikva for a hefty sum of US $170,000. Having suffered a rash of injuries, Kasoum's playing time diminished at Hapoel, and after the club's relegation to the Liga Leumit, he was loaned back to Bnei Sakhnin (who were promoted back to Ligat ha'Al) [cite news |first=Adi |last=Sardes |authorlink= |author= |coauthors= |title=אחמד קאסום חתם בבני סכנין |url=http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-3413569,00.html |format= |work= |publisher=Yedioth Ahronoth |id= |pages= |page= |date=2007-06-16 |accessdate=2007-06-16 |language=Hebrew |quote= ] .
