Center High School is one of the two high schools in the Center Unified School District in Antelope, California. It has won numerous awards for both its Blue and Gold Newspaper and The Epic yearbook and is one of the top high schools in Northern California.Fact|date=April 2007.


The school's Media Communications Academy which is defined as "a school within a school" dedicated to new media, video and audio production, and digital graphics. Most of the school's theater productions are housed in the Performing Arts building.

The School is also well known for its diversity being one of the most diverse schools in the county.

Center High School was involved in a minor controversy when its football coach's contract was not renewed by two of the school districts board members. The members were ridiculed by both students, parents and staff and were ultimately recalled by the community. One of the members ended up having to move to Idaho because of the negative attention that was received by their family and friends. However coincidently, the coach ended up resigning a year after being reinstated.

On September 2nd, 2008 A student died during Soccer Practice.
