"Without Reservations" is a 1946 film made by RKO Radio Pictures, directed by Mervyn LeRoy, and starring Claudette Colbert and John Wayne.

The opening shot shows "Arrowhead" Pictures motion picture studio. This is the actual RKO Pictures Studio Building at 780 Gower Street in Hollywood, retouched with "Arrowhead" replacing the RKO signs on the building. It remains a historic structure on the corner to this day.

Plot

Best-selling author Kit Madden is on her way to Hollywood to work on the screen adaptation of her latest novel. On the train, she finds her plans drastically altered when she meets a happy-go-lucky Marine, Rusty Thomas, who is the ideal hero for her film. During Madden's pursuit of Thomas and his Marine buddy as they travel across America to their Marine base, she falls in love with him. After many adventures and misunderstandings, Thomas believes that Madden does not really love him and has been merely using him for some fun. However, due to the efforts of his buddy, the couple are finally brought together.
