Platform for Transparency

Platform for Transparency is a loose unofficial grouping within the European Parliament, established in 2005 [http://www.hpmartin.net/Platform_for_Transparency_created_by_MEPs_van_Buitenen__Martin_and_Mote- _en. MEPs] ] who are not affiliated to an official European political party.

The grouping does not appear to have an official leader or organisational structure and, instead, appears to work as a means through which its members can collectively draw attention to what it believes are irregularities within the European Union.

The members of Platform for Transparency are:;AUT
* Hans-Peter Martin (Hans-Peter Martin's List) — a Non-Inscrits member.

;NLD
* Paul van Buitenen (Europe Transparent) — an independent member of the European Greens–European Free Alliance group.

;GBR
* Ashley Mote (Independent) — a Non-Inscrit member, representing South East England, who was elected in 2004 as a member of the United Kingdom Independence Party.

On 8 January 2007 it was reported that Ashley Mote will become a member of the new Identity, Tradition, Sovereignty group in the European Parliament, which includes far-right and nationalist elements.
