DanChurchAid
-
DanChurchAid (Danish: Folkekirkens Nødhjælp) is one of the major Danish humanitarian non governmental organisations (NGO), working with churches and non-religious civil organisations to assist the poorest of the poor.
DanChurchAid carries out its work with the objective: "To help and be advocates of oppressed, neglected and marginalised groups in poor countries and to strengthen their possibilities of a life in dignity."
DanChurchAid believes that all human beings are created in the image of God and therefore equal; that even the poorest of the poor have capacities to build on, and that assistance should be given regardless of race, religion and political affiliation.
Working in Alliance
DanChurchAid is a member of ACT Development, a global alliance of churches and related agencies working on development that are committed to working together.
