It provides local programming which reflects the diversity of Louisiana. The station airs programming in entertainment, health, education, sports, and Louisiana culture.

The station airs one local high school football game, televised live, in its "Cox 4 Game of the Week." A nationally award-winning program called "In School" showcases the various elementary and high schools in the Baton Rouge area. There are also programs that discuss academic and athletic issues associated with LSU and Southern University. During many mornings, the station airs a preview of a Cox Digital Cable channel.
