Biography

Amaral has had a colourful career, playing in a wide variety of teams and countries. He has also represented the Brazilian national football team 31 times during a long and successful career.

Perth Glory scored a major recruiting coup after snaring the services of the Brazilian International midfielder for the 2008/09 Hyundai A-League season. Amaral brings a wealth of experience to the Glory having played with some of the great clubs around the globe including Brazilian giants Palmeiras and Corinthians, perennial Portuguese championship contenders Benfica and successful Italian Serie A outfits Parma and Fiorentina.

Before he turned professional, Amaral worked as a grave digger.
