Bill Scott (author)

Bill Scott (1922—December 24, 2005) was an Australian author, folklorist and poet. [ [http://jam.org.au/moxie/articles/miscarticles/bill-scott-passes-away.shtml Bill Scott passes away] (JAM: NSW Folk Federation) Accessed: January 29, 2007] He has published many anthologies of Australian verse.

Bill Scott was born in Bundaberg, Queensland. He is best known for his song "Hey Rain" and as the compiler of "The Complete book of Australian folk lore". He lived toward the end of his life in Warwick in the Darling Downs.
