Gil Aldema was born in
Tel Aviv, Palestine, in 1928. He graduated from the Jerusalem Academy of Musicand from Mannes College of Music, New York (Artist's Diploma). Teacher and conductor; for some years instructor at Hadassim Youth Village, later program producer and arranger for "Kol-Israel", Israel Broadcasting Authority. Composed and arranged songs for folk-ensembles and choirs. In 2004 he was awarded the Israel Prize.
