Sree Poornathrayesa temple

Sree Poornathrayesa temple is situated in Tripunithura, Kerala, the capital of the former Indian state of Cochin. The temple has history of more than ten decades and was almost ruined to nothing in a major fire break out in the early 1900s. The current temple is a renovated one.

The temple is also famous for its yearly "Utsavams" or festivals. The main one being the "Vrishchikoltsawam" [http://www.flickr.com/photos/sajithnair/sets/72157594386202344/ (see photos)] , which is conducted every year in the month of Vrishchikam (Nov-Dec).

The deity in this temple is Lord Vishnu who is in the form of "Santhanagopala Murthy". It is well believed that childless couples will be blessed with children on praying "Poornathrayesan".

Poornathrayeesan is the Family deity of Cochin Royal Family (Perumpadapu Swaroopam).
