He earned a Masters degrees in Engineering Physics at
Uppsala University , combining this with additional studies in psychology, sociology, astronomy, communication, physics, economy and law as well as an exchange year atSan Jose State University . In 1997, he joined the Swedish Polar program to work for the AMANDA project as a hot water driller at the South Pole, Antarctica. The hardship he put in, to allow astro-physicist to perform world class science, made the American Congress to award him for his "courage, sacrifice and devotion".Work

Telelogic , the leading provider of software and services for Enterprise Lifecycle Management. In 2005 Tomas went back toAntarctica . This time with the goal to open a new window to the Universe, by creating the largest scientific instrument ever created - the [http://icecube.wisc.edu/ IceCube] project, a cubic kilometer detector deep down in the ice under theSouth Pole . During his two seasons for IceCube Tomas was involved in creating safe and efficient operations as well as to drill 21 holes, each one of a depth of 2500 meters.Kayak

Stockholm to St Petersburg. This was followed by 5 more crossings, in a kayak, of theBaltic Sea , with kayaking trips fromSweden toHelsinki ,Åbo , twice toTallinn and, at the 300 years celebrations in 2003, a second kayaking trip toSt Petersburg .Photography
