ice -coveredpeninsula which forms the northwestern extremity ofMarie Byrd Land and projects into theRoss Sea betweenSulzberger Bay and the northeast corner of theRoss Ice Shelf . Edward VII Peninsula is defined by theRoss Ice Shelf on the southwest,Okuma Bay on the west, and to the east bySulzberger Bay and theSaunders Coast , all essentially on theRoss Sea /Southern Ocean inAntarctica .
