Community High School is a United States secondary school located in Nevada, Texas. It is part of the Community Independent School District which covers much of southeastern Collin County. The district was a consolidation of schools in Nevada, Josephine and Lavon completed in 1948. The high school is one mile north of Nevada.

Athletics

Community High School participates in the following sports:

Cross Country, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Powerlifting, Golf, Tennis, Track, Baseball, Softball, Drill Team and Cheerleading.

Mascot

The Community High School mascot is the Brave/Lady Brave. The Brave is a male Indian while the Lady Brave is a female Indian.

Drill Team

The Dazzlin' Dames drill team performs at half time at football games and also attend competitions. At they're most recent competition they received a total of 8 awards. The Dazzlin' Dames is Ms. Ashley Ellis and is also the Spanish 2 & 3 teacher.

Speech, Theater and Debate

Community High School also has a Speech, Theater and Debate program. The program regularly participates in UIL tournaments.

Band

Community High School also has a wonderful band. They recently went to their UIL competition and received a superior rating of 1. They compete in many contests through-out the year.
