Scott Russell Aqueduct
The Scott Russell Aqueduct is an
aqueductcarrying the Union Canal over the A720 bypass, west of Edinburgh, Scotland.
It is named after the Scottish
naval engineer John Scott Russellwho discovered the solitonor solitary wavenear Bridge 11 on the Union Canal where a plaque in his memory can be found.
