The song originally appeared on the band's second album "Never Take Friendship Personal" and was re-recorded for their fourth album, "New Surrender". It was released to radio after a week long delay on August 26, 2008, being the first single from "New Surrender", the band's first album on major label Universal Republic.cite web|url=http://absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=416761|title=Radio Date for New Anberlin Single|publisher=Absolute Punk.net|last=DeAndrea|first=Joe|date=2008-07-18|accessdate=2008-07-18]

ong description

"Feel Good Drag" originally appeared on Anberlin's sophomore album "Never Take Friendship Personal", but the band decided to re-record the song for "New Surrender", they felt the track originally did not get the publicity it deserved. The updated version is very similar to the original, barring minor changes in the introduction, singing, bridge and overall production.

"Feel Good Drag" received airplay on Sirius Alt Nation, appearing at #1 on its Top 21 playlist two weeks in a row.cite web|url=http://www.sirius.com/altnation|title=Alt Nation Top 21|publisher=sirius.com|date=2008-07-21|accessdate=2008-07-21] It has also featured at #7 on the Alternative Addiction Top 20.

As stated in a video blog on August 5, 2008, Anberlin would be shooting a music video for "Feel Good Drag" at the end of August.Fact|date=September 2008
