Local Heroes, Inc supports local servicemen and servicewomen and their families.

About Local Heroes

Local Heroes, Inc prepares and sends care packages to local servicemen and women stationed overseas while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Packages include necessities like toothbrushes and razors, as well as relative luxuries, such as candy and coffee. Their goal is to send a care package to each one of the "Local Heroes" during the next year to demonstrate appreciation for their service. [ [http://mass-localheroes.org/aboutus.html About Us ] ]


Since the group's inception in 2004, [ [http://www.necfom.org/articles/article/3083354/45099.htm Special plates help care for soldiers ] ] they have sent out more than 6,000 care packages to local soldiers overseas.


Local Heroes, Inc hosts several events throughout the year to raise awareness of their cause as well as raise money for the preparation and sending of care packages. Got Books?

Local Heroes, Inc raises money through fundraising partner Got Books?, a local organization which collects and sells used books from the community, as well as raises money for local nonprofit groups.
