Quechua is a mountain sports brand. The brand was founded in 1997 in Domancy, France. Quechua produces Hiking, Trail running, Adventure facing, Climbing and Mountaineering apparal. It employs about 150 persons. Its name comes from the Quechua language, an indigenous language of South America. The brand is sold in every store of Decathlon Group and sportswear shops.

* 1997 : The adventure starts with a few pioneers who formulate the brand's development. The trademark is an official one all around the world, following recruitment products development. It is in a three rooms flat in Sallanches (74700) where the first Quechua products will emerge.
* 1999 : Opening of the International Headquarters in Domancy, just underneath the Mont Blanc, nearest of users.
* 2002 : Signature of the first Technical Partnership contracts. Some big names disciplines flagship Quechua just lend their expertise to improve high-quality products. The brand proved its worth on the field.
* 2003 : Quechua joined the Top 10 largest global brands mountain comparable scope of activity, and this in only 6 years of existence! The brand fabric its teams of designers, as well as engineering and prototyping.

Publication of the first consumer magazine. Talking every mountain topics. A that time its name is Chullanka (snowed summit in Quechua language). It'll become Quechua Magazine for the seventh issue.
* 2005 : The 2 Seconds tent's release. The products which put Quechua in the innovation spotlights.

The 2 seconds Tent wins th Industrial Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) for the innovation of instant tent. * 2007 : 10 years of existence for the brand! With currently more than 100 persons at its premises Domancy, the brand itself. 80% of employees between the design, development, supply or marketing of products ... Technical Partnership

Quechua has partnerships with many groups, such as mountain guides, national team of young mountaineers and Ifremmont Institute of Mountain Medical Research. It works with advisers hiking (Hélène Rochas, Grégory Vollet, Vincent Delebarre, Dawa Dachhiri Sherpa), climbing (David Caude) and adventure racing (Quechua Team).
