reannealing

reannealing
Renaturation of a DNA sample that has been dissociated by heating. In reannealing the two strands that recombine to form a double-stranded molecule are from the same source. Differences in the rate of reannealing led to the early recognition of repetitive sequences - which rapidly recombine (have low values on the Cot curve).
