dynein

dynein
Large multimeric protein (600-800 kD) with ATPase activity; constitutes the side arms of the outer microtubule doublets in the ciliary axoneme and is responsible for the sliding. Probably (together with kinesin) involved in microtubule-associated movement elsewhere. Cytoplasmic dynein is MAP-Ic.
