The Odyssey 200 is a
video game consolewith 3 Variations of " Pong". It is the successor of the Magnavox Odyssey and a Predecessor of the Magnavox Odyssey² (A few more models of these Odyssey systems were released before the Odyssey²). It was released in North America in 1975, just two years after the "Pong" was released. Six paddles were hardwired into the console (three for each player). The Odyssey 200 also featured a Scoreboardon the front of the system and ran on batteries or a 9 volt AC adapterplug. The Odyssey 200 only had five functions: auto serve, manual serve, ball speed control, ball angle control and player size control.
The "Odyssey 400" released in 1976 is an update of this system with all the same features and games plus a dedicated chip for digital on-screen scoring instead of the sliding manual scoreboard found on the Oddyssey 200.
