What Is S.W.O.R.A.?

Galaxy-Wide Star Wars Organizations The Star Wars Outer Rim Alliance (S.W.O.R.A.) is an international community and alliance of Star War-related chapters geared towards the fandom and bonding over the wonder that is our beloved galaxy far, far away. This is the purpose of S.W.O.R.A., to bring together fans from across the globe with particular emphasis on those in less-known areas or outer rim territories, the opportunity to come together with fellow fans and enthusiasts globally. S.W.O.R.A. strives to create a global Star Wars experience through collaborations, fan events and active online spaces.

Origins of S.W.O.R.A.

S.W.O.R.A. was a cooperative effort born from fan groups wishing to raise the level of experience and security built into any Star Wars fandom event, while also giving fans in all areas representation in the wider Star Wars world surrounding them. Particularly looking to the vast lore surrounding these regions of the galaxy, especially within the notion of “Outer Rim Territories,” which are further from the political and cultural center points of gun crazy lightsaber rattling action, this theme was about helping those fans who might feel as though they are “on the edge” of broader fandom but still need to be reached out too and celebrated.

Co-creation: Expanding reach of Star Wars events and content through partnerships with fan clubs, creators,and other content makers.
