Zoltán Almási (born
August 29 1976) is a Grandmaster of chessfrom Hungary. He is a four-time Hungarian Chess Champion, winning in 1999, 2000, 2003, and 2006. In the FIDE World Chess Championship 2004, he made it to the fourth round where he lost 2-0 to Rustam Kasimdzhanov, the eventual winner of the event.
In 2008 he won the
Reggio Emilia chess tournamentin Italy scoring 5.5/8.
As of January 2008, Almasi had a FIDE rating of 2667.
